A quick and easy recipe for two chocolate chip cookies, perfect for a small treat while watching a movie.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, cream together 2 tablespoons of softened butter, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in 1/2 of a large egg yolk (or 1 small egg yolk) and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm with a glass of milk and enjoy!
