A refreshing and quick homemade lemonade, perfect for any occasion.
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of filtered water and 1 cup of granulated sugar.
Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, creating a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.
In a pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 3 cups of cold filtered water.
Stir well. Add more water or lemon juice to adjust sweetness and tanginess to your liking.
Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
