Vibrant green beans quickly sautéed and tossed with crunchy toasted almonds.
Trim the ends off 1 lb fresh green beans.
In a large skillet, toast 1/4 cup sliced almonds over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly golden and fragrant. Remove almonds from skillet and set aside.
Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the same skillet over medium heat. Add 1 minced garlic clove and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender-crisp and bright green.
Season the green beans with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and toss the green beans with the toasted almonds before serving.
