A quick and flavorful beef teriyaki stir-fry, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
In a bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup mirin, 2 tablespoons sake, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, and 1 clove minced garlic for the teriyaki sauce. Set aside.
Cut 1 pound of sirloin steak into thin strips.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef and cook until the sauce has thickened and coats the beef, about 2-3 minutes.
Add 1 sliced bell pepper, 1 sliced onion, and 1 cup broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
Serve the beef teriyaki stir-fry over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
