A delicious vegan beef dish, perfect for grilling. The seitan steaks are marinated in a smoky, savory sauce, then grilled to perfection. Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
In a bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Place the 1 pound of seitan steaks in a resealable bag or container and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the steaks are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the seitan steaks from the marinade and place them on the preheated grill. Discard the remaining marinade.
Grill the steaks for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they have nice grill marks and are heated through.
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve hot.
